Production at The Weekend Theater

Scott Perry and I am directing For Colored Girls Who
Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf at The Weekend Theater,
and I am in search of a woman of Color. She can be any size, shape, or age. She
will need to start immediate and be able to handle different characters. If this

Auditions Announced
Auditions for the
three 2012 summer musicals at The Weekend Theater approach! Please forward this
to all the people you know who want to be on stage!
The three musicals are:

Auditions will be held on Saturday, March 10th at 10 a.m.
and again on Sunday, March 11th at 5 p.m. You only have to attend one of the
times. During the auditions, first everyone will sing a song that they prepare.
Then we will have readings from the scripts. The scripts will not be available
before the auditions. At some time during the auditions, choreographers will be
taking the auditioners into the lobby and auditioning them there.

All shows will perform on Friday
and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 p.m. It is
possible that we will add Thursday night performances if the shows sell very
well.
If you cannot attend all
dress rehearsals, brush-ups, and performances, please respect your fellow actors
and tell us, so you will not be cast.
If you are interested in auditioning, please just show up
at The Weekend Theater at 7th and Chester streets in Little Rock at 10 a.m. on
Saturday morning, March 10th or Sunday evening, March 11th at 5 p.m. Bring some
sheet music to sing us a song. Our resident music director, Lori Isner, and our
second music director, Jeannie Cross, will be present to accompany you as you
sing. If you do not have a song to bring, just sing Happy Birthday for us! You
do not have to a practiced singer! Auditions for musicals can last up to 4 or
even 5 hours, so please bring lots of time and patience with you! ;-)

download the audition form. Please print out and bring a copy of the form for
each show that you plan to audition for a role. For instance, if you will be
auditioning for all three shows, bring three copies of your audition form when
you arrive to the theater for auditions. Also, please include a recent
photograph or headshot (in black & white or color) with each audition form.
If you are not able to complete the audition form before you come to the
theater, we will have copies for you to fill out as usual. Thank you for your
cooperation.

Ticket Price Increase for 2011 -- 2012 Season
Ticket prices for
musicals are $20, $16 for students and seniors age 65 and older. Tickets
for dramas are $16, $12 for students and seniors. Season tickets for 11
full length productions are available for $160.
