The Weekend Theater proudly welcomes Dakota (Koty) Mansfield as our new assistant executive director.
Koty is a recent graduate of Henderson State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. He has performed with theaters throughout Central Arkansas, including Murry’s Dinner Playhouse, The Studio Theatre, The Weekend Theater, Community Theatre of Little Rock, The Royal Theater and HSU Theatre and Dance Company. His last show at TWT was in 2016 in American Idiot.
Koty will work alongside TWT Executive Director Andrea McDaniel, learning the business side of non-profit theater.
“I am very excited to get started with this fantastic company and an even better group of friends,” he said.
Koty’s goal as an artist is to open his own non-profit theatre troupe for kids, teens, and young adults. He believes that the future of theatre lies in the minds of our kids, and he wants to share the magic he was given many years ago.
