If you’ve ever worked or acted at The Weekend Theater, you’ve spent time in “The Kitchen” – the backstage dressing area and hang-out spot. Depending on the size of the show, there can be up to 20 adults and/or children in this space all at the same time, waiting for places to be called or for their turn onstage. And in the heat of the summer, that can be a miserable experience without air conditioning. With temperatures getting higher and higher, it’s more important than ever for us to take care of the health and safety of our volunteers by keeping them cool while they work tirelessly to bring local theatre to the Little Rock community.
The Weekend Theater is looking to raise $1800 to cover to cost of materials and installation of the new unit – and the first $1000 donated will be matched by an anonymous donor!
