The Weekend Theater will hold auditions November 20 and 21 for “The Nether” by Jennifer Haley, directed by Chris Klinger.
Auditions begin at 10am Saturday and 6pm Sunday at The Weekend Theater, 1001 W. 7th St., Little Rock.
Rehearsals begin December 4, and performances run January 15 thru 30 (Friday thru Sunday).
Auditions will consist of cold reads from the script, and all auditionees must fill out the audition form by following this link:

Below is information about the play and the characters. We are actively seeking and are committed to a diverse cast of performers. Genders indicated are designated by the playwright, and we will cast actors with respect to their gender preferences. Actors of all ethnicities are encouraged and invited to audition.

Characters:Papa/Sims: Male, 30-50A successful business man; creator of The Hideaway; proud, strong, tender, defiant.
Morris: Female, 20-40A young female detective, passionate, driven.
Doyle: Male, 40-70A middle-aged science teacher, seeking to escape reality.
Iris: Female; 12-20A shining little girl, must look young, innocent but mature beyond her years, enchanting; the character is a prepubescent child; adult actors who can play children are highly encouraged to audition.
